Bathroom Renovation in Dubai
The grout turned grey two years ago and it is not coming back. The silicone around the shower tray has gone black. The mirror fogs up the moment you turn on the hot water because the ventilation was never right. The showerhead dribbles. The tap drips. The bañera occupies half the room and nobody in your household has used it since you moved in.
You clean it constantly. It never looks clean.
This is the room you start and end every day in. And it is the room that makes you feel like the whole apartment or villa needs work — even when the rest is fine.
A bathroom renovation fixes all of it. New tiles, proper waterproofing, a shower with actual pressure, fixtures that do not corrode in Dubai’s humidity, a vanity with space for two people, and ventilation that stops mould from coming back.
The hard part — as always — is finding a contractor who will do it properly, on time, and for the price they quoted.
One form. Your bathroom count, what needs replacing, and what you can spend. Within 24 hours, three licensed contractors send you separate proposals. One value. One mid-range. One premium. Tiles specified. Fixtures named. Waterproofing method listed. Timeline committed.
You compare. You choose. Or you don’t.

What changes when your bathroom finally works
You are in this room at least twice a day. When it works, you do not think about it. When it doesn’t, you think about it every single time.
Recent projects — what homeowners actually spent
A guest bathroom in a JVC apartment, 4 sqm. Value tier: new wall and floor tiles, new shower mixer and rainfall head, new vanity with mirror, repainted ceiling, silicone replaced throughout. Done in 8 days.
A master ensuite in Dubai Hills villa, 9 sqm. Mid-range tier: bathtub removed, walk-in rainfall shower with frameless glass screen installed, full retiling floor to ceiling in large-format porcelain, floating double vanity, backlit mirror, concealed cistern wall-hung toilet, full waterproofing membrane, upgraded ventilation. 3 weeks.
Five bathrooms in an Arabian Ranches villa. Premium tier: all five gutted, new plumbing throughout, imported Italian tiles, wall-hung sanitaryware, custom-built vanity units with stone tops, underfloor heating in master, LED niches in showers, full waterproofing certification per bathroom. 6 weeks for the full set.
Each project was different. Each homeowner got three proposals before choosing. The only way to see what your bathrooms cost is to request yours.

Your questions, answered
How much does bathroom renovation cost in Dubai?
It depends on the bathroom size, tile selection, fixtures, and whether you are keeping the layout or changing it. That is why we send you three itemised proposals instead of a generic range. Each one shows you the exact cost for your bathroom — not an average.
How long does it take?
A fixture and tile refresh: 1–2 weeks per bathroom. A full renovation with layout changes and waterproofing: 2–4 weeks. If multiple bathrooms are done simultaneously, the total timeline is shorter than doing them one after another.
Do I really need waterproofing?
In Dubai, yes. AC cycling creates constant humidity shifts. Without a proper membrane under the tiles, moisture migrates into the screed and walls. The damage is invisible until it becomes expensive — a leak into the apartment below or mould inside the wall cavity. Any serious bathroom contractor in Dubai includes waterproofing as standard.
Should I remove the bathtub?
If nobody uses it and the bathroom is under 6 sqm — almost certainly. A walk-in shower in the same footprint opens up the space and gives you a more usable layout. If you want a tub for young children or personal preference, a freestanding or back-to-wall tub in a larger ensuite works without dominating the room.
What tiles last longest in Dubai bathrooms?
Large-format porcelain (60x120cm or bigger) with rectified edges. Fewer grout lines, easier to clean, less mould risk. Avoid small mosaics on large surfaces — they look great in showrooms and terrible after two years of Dubai humidity.
Can I renovate one bathroom without doing the others?
Yes. Single-bathroom projects are common and straightforward. Most homeowners start with the guest bathroom or the master ensuite and do the rest later.
What is the difference between a cheap renovation and one that lasts?
Waterproofing, tile adhesive quality, and grout type. A cheap bathroom uses basic cement adhesive and cementitious grout that cracks and discolours within a year. A proper renovation uses flexible adhesive, epoxy grout, and a tested membrane system. You cannot see the difference on day one. You see it on day 365.
Which areas do you cover?
Every community in Dubai — villas and apartments. Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, Palm Jumeirah, Springs, Marina, Downtown, JVC, JBR, Business Bay, City Walk, and everywhere else.
Is this free?
Yes. Three quotes. No cost. No account. No obligation.
